مسافر راستے میں حضرت عیسیٰؑ اور ایک مشہور عابد سے ملا جو ستر برس سے عبادت میں معروف تھا۔ حضرت عیسیٰؑ نے پوچھا،”یہ تلوار کہاں سے لی؟”مسافر نے عرض کیا،”ملعون نے دی ہے۔”حضرت عیسیٰؑ نے فرمایا:”گناہگار کا یہ صدقہ اللہ کے نزدیک پسندیدہ ہے۔”بعد ازاں حضرت عیسیٰؑ اور وہ عابد ملعون کے گھر کے قریب سے گزرے۔ ملعون کے دل میں خیال آیا،”کاش! میں اٹھ کر حضرت عیسیٰؑ اور ان کے عابد ساتھی کے چہرے کو ایک نظر دیکھ لوں۔”جب وہ احتراماً کھڑا ہوا تو عابد نے تکبر سے کہا:”میں تو اس گناہگار کے قریب بھی نہیں جاتا، کہیں اس کی آگ مجھے نہ جلا دے!”
